Huck Finn at Children’s Theatre Company

In the spirit of all Children’s Theatre Company productions, Huck Finn is a spirited, entertaining and hard-hitting story.  I was able to sit down with Greg Banks, the director, and have a delightful conversation.

Babe the Sheep Pig at Old Gem Theater

Opening on Friday, March 13, Babe the Sheep Pig will warm your heart on stage, perhaps even more than the motion picture.

Babe is a polite but sad little piglet who misses her mother until she finds friendship with an award winning sheep-dog and decides to follow in her friend’s pawsteps to become the world¹s first award winning sheep-pig. Babe the Sheep-Pig is a heartwarming play about learning the power of kindness and bravery for kids from pre-school on up.
Babe the Sheep-Pig is one of the Old Gem’s  By Kids for Kids productions cast entirely with students.

Shooting Kabul at Steppingstone Theater

Opening on Friday, March 13, Joy will be attending this performance with her daughter.

Shooting Kabul is based on the children’s book of the same name, which is geared toward children 8 to 12. I’m expecting the play to have the same target audience and intend to leave my preschoolers at Choo Choo Bob’s with their dad.

Annie at Orpheum Theatre

On the very last day of March, just squeaking in on March 31,  you get to enjoy all the magic of Little Orphan Annie.  The last time I experienced Annie I was 16 playing the apple seller.  I was stuck on the middle of the stage by myself, and I delivered my lines.  And Annie didn’t come out.  And Annie didn’t come out.  And Annie didn’t come out.  Yep!  I have a feeling that this will be a better experience.
