The Weekend in Pictures

I’ve said it many times before, and I hope to say it long into the future: I love being part of a team. While I spent a week with extended family on the Gulf coast of Florida…

… I could count on my FFTC teammates to keep the material churning out back home. Even better, Gianna and Joy hosted a wonderful summer playdate this past Friday and had the opportunity to meet some of our readers! The informal gathering was a day-long affair and included hanging out at Lake Calhoun beach, riding the Como-Harriet Streetcar Line, making multiple stops in Linden Hills (Heartfelt, Wild Rumpus Books, Sebastian Joe’s for ice cream, and Settergren Ace Hardware – to search for Waldo!), and capping off the night with an outdoor movie at the Lake Harriet Bandshell.

Can you believe Gianna had enough energy left over to spend much of her weekend playing with her kids at her brother’s farm?

At least she knows that if she needs some time to recover, she’s got a team to call on.
