The Winter Carnival is coming!  Starting Thursday, January 22, you can experience the fun of the Winter Carnival legend with King Boreas and Vulcanus Rex.  There is so much happening at SPWC that we couldn’t include it all, but we wanted to let you know about our favorites.  Head over to SPWC’s website for more info on the Toughest Rodeo, Saintly Cat Show, Medallion Hunt and Autonomous Snow Plow Competitions and SO much more!

Events take place before the Winter Carnival even begins.

King Boreas’s Grand Day Parade Saturday, January 24 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m.
Vulcan Victory Torchlight Parade Saturday, January 31 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. (followed  by the Overthrow of King Boreas and Fireworks)

Rice Park
Thursday, January 22-Sunday, 25 Watch sculptors compete in the annual SPWC Ice Carving Contest–both single block and multi-block competitions.

Stop the park any time during SPWC and enjoy the beautiful creations.

Kids’ Day
Saturday, January 24

All around St. Paul on Kids’ Day you will find lots of fun.  The Landmark Center is hosting a jigsaw puzzle competition from 8:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. At 11:00 a.m., it’s the Vulcan Coming Out ceremony.  Como Park is hosting the Disc Festival.  St. Paul Hotel is giving out Hot Chocolate from 1:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. And there will be bouncy houses and other kid fun inside the Landmark Center from noon-5:00 p.m.

Friday, January 23-Sunday, January 25

It’s the first race for 2015 and Red Bull is psyched!  And we crazy Minnesotans gather around this ice derby track and watch people hurtled themselves down this extreme track to win!

  • Giant snow slide – Jan 24 – Feb 1, 2015 (ticketed event)

 Vulcan Fun Day at Snow Park at the Fair
January 25 -This Day adds the spice of the Vulcans and includes at the other Snow Park at the Fair events as well as special Vulcan Krewe treats.

Family Day
Landmark Center

Saturday, January 31
Noon-5:00 p.m.

Entertainment includes Vulcans and Royalty appearance in the Landmark Center.
