Our First “Fall” Weekend in Pictures

So technically, we’ve still got a couple weeks of summer yet, but in our house we’re ready to call it fall as soon as the State Fair is through. We like getting back to the school routine (really — we do!) and sliding into activities that bring to mind a crispness in the air and a fresh coat of color on the trees. We grabbed our first free weekend day and headed for one of our favorite Mom-and-Pop apple establishments — Fall Harvest Orchard near Delano, Minnesota. It was the perfect way to usher in the season.

Gianna’s family, on the other hand, seems to want to cling to the last throes of summer. From the looks of that pool party, I guess I can’t blame her.

And Joy’s family is ready for some autumn birdwatching! If you’ve yet to check out Home Depot’s Saturday workshops for kids, drop in the next time you’ve got a free morning. They often offer seasonal projects that make great gifts!
