  • BLOOMINGTON: Learn to make a wooden hand tool called a lucet at historic POND DAKOTA MISSION PARK. Drop-in, free living history programs every Saturday from 1-4pm. November 4, 2023.
  • BROOKLYN PARK: Drop in to try disc golf for free at MISSISSIPPI GATEWAY REGIONAL PARK – either bring your own equipment or borrow what’s available. November 5, 2023, 1-3pm.
  • MAPLE GROVE: Gear up for winter programming around a bonfire with smores at EASTMAN NATURE CENTER. November 5, 2023, drop in between 1-3pm.

Critter Science Investigation at Westwood Hills Nature Center

The museum buzzes with art-making workshops, kid films, scavenger hunts throughout the galleries and live performances that stretch young attention spans and might spark conversation about the art. Home Depot Workshops for Kids: Horseshoe game

Participating Twin Cities Home Depot locations
The first Saturday of each month kids get a kit to build, apron and pin while supplies last; adults must accompany children. November 4, 2023, 9am-12pm. FREE.

Michaels Sunday Makebreak

Participating Michaels stores across the Twin Cities are offering free weekend “Makebreak” classes and “Take & Make” Kids Club crafts. They’re simple, yet could lend a nice personal touch to a small gift. This weekend kids can paint their own holiday ornament. November 5, 2023, 2-4pm.
