I was just on the Minnesota Orchestra website to get dates for our calendar and I noticed that the Young Peoples Concerts are selling out fast – especially Bugs Bunny at the Symphony.  If you are interested in seeing this concert,  I would act quickly.

Here is a link to the Online Order page.  Tickets are $6.25 to $7.00/each.  While you are on the Minnesota Orchestra webpage, download a study guide from each of the individual concert’s pages.

This seasons concerts are as follows:

SuperSonic

Supersonic Sounds.

Performances February 26th & 27th.

This concert is full of Big sounds. It starts with the theme from 2001: A Space Odyssey.  You can get a preview below.

Rite of Spring

Rite of Spring.

Performances April 22nd through 28th.

It feels like Stravinsky’s Rite of Spring has been getting a lot of attention lately, but maybe I’m just more aware of it.  The preview is below.

Bugs Bunny

Bugs Bunny at the Symphony II

All performances sold out except: May 21st at 10:00 a.m.

I’m listening to this preview as I prepare this post.  It is everything you would expect of a Bugs Bunny Symphony.

Besides Family Fun Twin Cities, I spend my 9 to 5 at a day job pursuing my weird passion for calendars and organizing things as a legal secretary. When I get home I spend my time with my four kids, 10, 6, 4 and 1. My amazing husband is both a full-time musician and full-time stay-at-home dad. Together we run a small radio empire — SiaNet Radio — playing, promoting and enjoying the wide variety of local music and art in the Twin Cities. I juggle all this while writing about exploring the Twin Cities with kids. I couldn’t be happier.
