Minneapolis Institute of Art Target Family Day: Art on the Move

DSCF5533On the second Sunday of the month, Target sponsors a Family Day at the Minneapolis Institute of Art (MIA).   While admission to the MIA is always by donation, and the museum is always open to families, Target’s Family Day at the MIA is an event that is worth attending with many an array of extra-fun activities promoting art enjoyment and a theme featuring a unique perspective of the galleries.

 

 

 

 

 

When: Sunday,  January 12, 2014 11:-00 am-5:00 pm
Where: Minneapolis Institute of Art, 2400 Third Avenue South, Minneapolis, Minnesota 55404
How:  No RSVP needed, just show up

Art On the Move

Activities include:

12:30, 1:30 & 3:30 p.m.
Puppet Performances | In the Heart of the Beast Mask and Puppet Theatre

Calder-inspired Mobiles
Be moved by the art of Alexander Calder and make your own magnificent mobile.

Gallery Hunt: Loco-motion!

Noon, 1, 2 & 3 p.m.
Movement Activity with Children’s Theatre Co.: The Very Hungry Caterpillar

11:30, 12:30, 2 & 3 p.m.
Preschool Tour: Hide and Seek

3 p.m.
Tour: Art Since 1950

I am not exaggerating when I say you don’t want to miss this.  The activities are exciting andDSCF5529 enjoyable for the whole family.
