Mill City Oktoberfest

Oktoberfest is on my list of favorite Twin Cities outdoor festivals. Part of the attraction is that the nice weather is quickly coming to an end, and I want to get one more festival under my belt. I also happen to have a toddler-sized lederhosen that each of my kids have worn. This will be its last year of use and I’m a little sad about that.

Despite the part Minnesota played in the prohibition movement, it also has a rich history in brewing. Mill City Museum and Farmers Market invite you to celebrate Minnesota brewing past and present with a variety of activities.  While you are there, you can do your produce shopping.  It’s a two-fer.

Besides Family Fun Twin Cities, I spend my 9 to 5 at a day job pursuing my weird passion for calendars and organizing things as a legal secretary. When I get home I spend my time with my four kids, 10, 6, 4 and 1. My amazing husband is both a full-time musician and full-time stay-at-home dad. Together we run a small radio empire — SiaNet Radio — playing, promoting and enjoying the wide variety of local music and art in the Twin Cities. I juggle all this while writing about exploring the Twin Cities with kids. I couldn’t be happier.
