September 30, 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Visitor Center

How long is life on earth? That’s the question author and primate researcher Graham Banes explores in The Kingfisher Encyclopedia of Life.  The book is for young scientists who are interested in exploring the world of biology.

Banes’  time is spent on  The Orang-utan Conservation Genetics Project– concentrated study on oranguatan in zoo.  Como Zoo keeper Megan Elder manages with the International Orangutan Studbook. If you one of your older (or extremely mature) children are interested in primates, you won’t want to miss this opportunity.

Tickets are $10 per person and space is limited, so please r.s.v.p. to comomembership@comofriends.org. There will be books by Dr. Banes available to purchase and have signed by the author himself.
