Veterans Park (also called Veterans Memorial Park) is Richfield’s largest park. It encompasses Legion Lake and several walking and biking paths. It is home to an outdoor pool, an ice arena, a mini-golf course, and a large memorial to veterans. On summer Saturdays, it hosts a farmers market.

Wheel Fun Rentals Mini Golf & Malt Shop

Richfield’s mini golf go to has had a variety of names over the years — Adventure Gardens, Malt-T-Melt, MaltTees, and now Wheel Fun Rentals Mini Golf & Malt shop. What remains the same throughout these name changes is that the facility proves a fun day of golf and treats. Located in Veterans Memorial Park and managed by Wheel Fun Rentals, it is an outdoor mini golf course with a restaurant that specializes in malts and pizza. The course is open May through October.

Updated in 2019, the course features 18 holes of miniature golf through gardens, landscaping, waterfalls, ponds and streams. This is a good mini golf option if you are bringing someone with mobility challenges as 10 of the 18 holes are accessible. In 2012, a restaurant was added to the Mini Golf Course, offering affordable food options to visitors. Menu items include pizza, ice cream treats and beverages. You can find the current menu here. Gianna includes this among her favorite Twin Cities Ice Cream Shoppes.

Wheel Fun Coupons and Discounts

Wheel Fun Rentals offers a “local discount” in the form of inexpensive annual passes, which give the holder a 50% discount for every game. Find information of annual passes here. In addition, patrons can print a coupon to get the second hour of play free if they play before noon. Find the coupon here.

Tip: Groupon often offers discounts on rounds of mini golf.

Birthday Parties

With 30 picnic tables, the park’s picnic shelter is Richfield’s largest pavilion. It can be rented in sections or as a whole. Prices vary but run between $90 and $270. Shelter rental includes access to electricity and indoor bathrooms. Grills are allowed, but alcohol is prohibited.
