The preview will feature Moon Festival, Santa’s Workshop, and the Scottish Ramble. Sundays at Landmark kicks off on September 7, the first of nineteen Landmark Center’s signature afternoons that are free or affordable, and open to our community at large.

14 Peter Pan castPETER PAN AT THE OLD GEM THEATER

Old Gem Theater Young Performers Ensemble has done it again.  A great way to enjoy the end of summer would be to watch these talented young people perform at the historic Old Gem Theater.  And what better to perform than Peter Pan.

Thursday August 14 at 7:00 pm

Friday August 15 at 10 am and  7:00 pm
Saturday August 16 at 10:30 am
Tickets to Peter Pan are $11.00 for adults and $9.00 for students and seniors.

Composer Quest Live Film Scores


7 pm; F.K. Weyerhaeuser Auditorium; $5 Suggested Donation

Composer Quest, a songwriting and music composition podcast, and MNKINO, a film making group, have teamed up composers and filmmakers from around the world to create short films on the theme, “Quest.” The films will be screened and the scores will be performed live by a chamber orchestra conducted by Yuri Ivan, the conductor of the Kenwood Symphony Orchestra and the Linden Hills Chamber Orchestra. Click here for more information.

*Summer Reading Series* Piano on our Patio: Broadway Show Tunes Sing-a-long

Inspired by the middle-grade hit, Better Nate than Ever, by Tim Federle, we’re inviting readers of all ages to belt out popular songs from favorite Broadway musicals. Red Balloon has the lyrics covered and you don’t have to worry about being able to sing.  Just practice those jazz hands!  It will be fun for the whole family!

Wood Turning Demonstration

12 pm; Gallery of Wood Art; Free & open to the publicTouch This! is an exhibit that provides insight into the history, processes, and materials of wood turning. There are live woodturning demonstrations on the third Sunday of each month, usually given by a professional member of the American Association of Woodturners. For more information click here.

Choose from our selection of wooden boxes, then decorate using watercolor crayons and optional wood burning. Various sizes, while supplies last. Ages 3 and up.

♥ Large Box or Pirate Chest $20.
Needle Felted MouseNEEDLE FELTED MOUSE
Try your hand at needle felting while making this cute little guy in your choice of color. Sharp needles will be used. Ages 8 to adult. $15.
Nature MobileNATURE MOBILE
Learn about weight and balance while making this unique mobile to hang proudly at home. A nice family project! Ages 7 to adult, younger with grown up help. $20.
And many more including a Felt Snake, a Gnome House, a Fairy Garden (it’s the last month for this) and a Felted Selfie.
