Free Family Weekends Events List: Easter Egg Hunts and MORE! (April 4-5,2015)

Gianna did such an amazing job scouring the Twin Cities for Easter egg hunts and activities that I’m not going to duplicate the lineup here. Instead, I’ll encourage you to head over to her master list of events going on including both free and paid activities. Or, if you’re looking for some fun alternatives, here are a few other options for this coming weekend:


MayDay Public Workshop
@ In the Heart of the Beast Puppet & Mask Theatre
1500 E. Lake St., Minneapolis, MN 55407

Time: 9 – 11am & 1 – 3pm
Ages: All ages welcome, children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.
Details: Come help create floats for the annual MayDay celebration in Powderhorn Park! Artists will guide volunteers in creating a piece of their own or a contribution to a parade float.

First Free Saturday: Tell Me a Story
@ Walker Art Center
1750 Hennepin Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55403

Time: 10am – 3pm
Ages: Activities are geared towards kids ages 6-12, but don’t let that stop you from bringing your littler ones!
Details: Free gallery admission for the whole family every first Saturday of the month at the Walker!


Free Family Fun Day: Eggs
@ Richardson Nature Center
8737 E Bush Lake Rd, Bloomington, MN 55438

Time: 3 -4pm
Ages: All ages are welcome.
Details: Drop in any time and explore a new topic each week!

Free Family Fun Days: Earth Day Trash Pickup
@ Carl Kroening Interpretive Center
4900 Mississippi Ct., Minneapolis, MN 55430

Time: 1 – 3pm
Ages: All ages are welcome, children must be accompanied by an adult.
Details: An early Earth Day event! Come help freshen up the park.
