DESCRIPTION:Join a park guide to explore GLACIAL potholes and the unique ge
 ology of Interstate State Park in Taylors Falls. Your guide will share sto
 ries and share how massive lava flows\, glacial rivers and human interest 
 in the area shaped the landscape. Dress for the weather and for hiking roc
 ky terrain on a 1/4-mile walk. Best for ages 6+. ( State Park vehicle fee
  $7/day or $35/year).\nKeep your little ones close and you can have a grea
 t (if quite alert) time exploring the natural glacial potholes that dot th
 e cliffs along the rushing St. Croix River in Interstate Park. My 3-year-o
 ld wanted to climb every rock staircase she could find and gaze into the d
 epths of such geological marvels as the “Bake Oven” and the “Bottoml
 ess Pit”. The Pothole Trail is an easy walk from the parking lot\, but t
 here are a great number of steps to navigate in order to reach the best vi
 stas. If you’ve got pre-walkers in the group\, we recommend a hiking bac
 kpack. As kids get bigger\, families can go rock climbing\, canoeing or hi
