Teatro del Pueblo is a theatre in St. Paul with a mission to promote Latinx culture through the creation and presentation of performing arts. They aim to “create a fusion of cross-cultural artistic expressions, understanding the extent to which other cultures intersect with Latin American, Latinx, Chicano, and Meso American culture and histories”.

More recently, for the 2020/2021 season, they are releasing regular podcast episodes of Coco’s Barrio, which listeners can find through their website or directly from their soundcloud account (see below for link).

Coco’s Barrio Podcast by Teatro del Pueblo

Coco’s Barrio is a kid-friendly podcast that incorporates Latinx traditions, music and stories with a “sprinkle of political satire”. It has been described as “a cross between SNL and old-time radio.” With the exception of the first podcast, most of the episodes run approximately 30 minutes.
