The core of Living Spirit Therapy Services is in music therapy. Music therapy is a health service similar to physical, occupational, and speech therapy that uses music as the therapeutic tool for nonmusical change. In music therapy Living Spirit uses the music to address physical, cognitive, social, emotional, and behavioral needs through music. The Empowering Wellness Initiative was designed to help parents improve physical and mental health and overall wellness. Sprouting Melodies Early Childhood Music Classes offer age specific early childhood music classes for babies, toddlers, and preschool-age children focused on parent and child bonding; having fun; learning to use music to calm, stimulate, and engage; and social, emotional, cognitive, preacademic, musical, and physical growth and development. There are options for library sponsored classes that are no cost to families! All participants also receive a professionally recorded album, at home activity ideas, a book and/or instrument, and get access to the Empowering Wellness Initiative for parent wellness while enrolled in addition to classes. Sprouting Melodies early childhood music classes are facilitated by board-certified music therapists (MT-BC) who have undergone additional training on early childhood development and music.
