Simply Jane Studio is a non-profit art studio located in the Tangletown Neighborhood of Minneapolis. It offers open studio times, classes, camps, parties and special events. Jane Elias and her team of teaching artists supply the instruction, materials and cleanup, so families can just enjoy the experience.
Drop In Paint Sessions at Simply Jane Studio
The studio is equipped with tools, materials, and instructors who are available for a general lesson. Drop-in sessions cost $5/person or $10/family (free for members). Visitors can choose from a variety of materials to purchase (starting at $5) to paint. Drop-in anytime during open hours. No reservations are necessary. Check them out during school release days.
Toddler Times at Simply Jane Studio
While toddlers are welcome at any drop-in session, the studio provides a dedicated toddler time on Thursdays between 10 am – 12 pm. During these times, toddlers receive a discounted flat fee rate ($5/members; $10/non-members) which includes a bookmark or canvas board to paint. Children may also play with puzzles, games, chalk board, coloring sheets, toys, books and dress up. Running up and down the stage ramp is encouraged.
Membership at Simply Jane Studio
Membership is currently $50 and includes free drop-in sessions for the member and up to 4 friends and family as well as discounts and monthly specials. Members may also pay a small fee to bring their own items to paint rather than purchasing them from the studio.
Birthday Parties at Simply Jane Studio
Birthday parties start with a base fee plus materials. Families have several kid-friendly packages to choose from. Parties, field trips, and private lessons can be scheduled any day of the week. Call the studio at for more information.
