Ridgedale Center is an indoor mall in Minnetonka. It has a children’s play area and other family-friendly amenities. Nikki at Minnemama lists this mall among her favorites for indoor play spaces. Note that the Ridgedale Mall hours we list above are subject to change – especially during the Holidays. Ridgedale Play is an “indoor playground” for kids and can be found in the upper level on Nordstrom Lane. It is open to children 0 to 12, but is definitely geared toward the smaller children. While the management terms it an “indoor playground” I would describe it as a play area and family space. It is in a closed off area with cafe-style seating and vending machines for parents or families who want to have a snack whlle visiting the mall. Parents will also find hand-sanitizers and nearby stroller parking. Ridgedale offers “free” wifi in exchange for your email address. This isn’t all bad, because their mailing list is a good place to find out about family-friendly events. Sign up while you are visiting or anytime here. There are more sitting areas in the lower level, Center Court and throughout the mall. Most seating areas have charging stations. The play area is open longer hours than the mall stores: A second play option at Ridgedale is the Minnesota Playseum. Priced at $9/pp, the Playseum is a bit like a mini Children’s Museum. The concept was created by a mother in Washington DC who wanted a place to hang out with her kids. The Ridgedale location became the Playseum’s third location in the country in spring of 2020.
