Indoor Playground Hours Winter 2023

Plymouth Community Center (fka Plymouth Creek Center) is the home of Hilde Performance Center, Plymouth Fieldhouse, and Millennium Garden. This grouping of recreational venues gives residents and visitors to Plymouth a space for special events and recreational activities. Family-friendly amenities include the K.U.B.E. Indoor Playground, a sensory room, a year-round walking track and two gyms. The facility also houses dance and fitness studios, an art gallery, a ballroom, a theater and a variety of multipurpose rooms, classrooms and gathering spaces.

K.U.B.E. Indoor Playground!

The Kids Ultimate Backyard Experience (or the K.U.B.E) opened in January of 2022 as part of the updated Plymouth Community Center. Built to be the “ultimate backyard experience where the outside fun is brought indoors,” activities include:

  • Playground equipment
  • Giant slide
  • 28-foot climbing tower
  • Double loop slides
  • Climbing Wall
  • A special tot area for kids ages 2 to 5.

Daily admission will be $5-$6/pp, depending on residency.

The Sensory Room

The community center has a sensory room for anyone who is feeling overstimulated and needs a quiet environment.  It has some activity panels on the walls and a weighted lap pad available. Visitors can also check out sensory bags from the front desk that include noise-cancelling headphones, fidget gadgets and some verbal cue cards.

Hilde Performance Center

The Hilde Performance Center is Plymouth’s outdoor venue for concert series and performing arts. Set among wetlands, the stage can be found right behind Plymouth City Hall. There are also trails available for family exploration. Parking is available on-street parking is available in the City Center area and in the City Hall parking lot. Families may enjoy annual community events, including Bark in the Park, the free Music in Plymouth concert, KidsFest and the Happy Birthday America parade. Millennium Garden at Plymouth Community Center

The Millennium Garden was created to be both beautiful and tranquil with a variety of flower trails, walkways and fountains. One portion is a “labyrinth” created from grass and flat stones. Weather permitting, Millennium Garden has a non-staffed ice rink open during the month of January. Open Play at Plymouth Fieldhouse

The fieldhouse is heated (to 55 degrees) and historically offers open play hours for both kids and teens from November through mid-March. Find updates and other Twin Cities tot times here. Open play is currently on hold. Cost: $4/Plymouth Resident, $5/Non-Plymouth Resident.

Indoor Toddler Activities

Free Indoor Track at Plymouth Fieldhouse

The indoor track is open to the public during specified hours from November through March. A mile is 1.25 laps. Strollers are permitted on the track. Track times are subject to change and it is a good idea to call ahead (763-509-5292), if you have not visited before.

Birthday Parties at Plymouth Community Center

The center has rooms available for rent starting at reasonable hourly rates for both residents and non-residents. Spaces require a minimum of a 2-hour commitment. The Millennium Garden is also available for rental. However, it is geared more toward weddings and is priced accordingly.

Birthday parties are also available at the the K.U.B.E. Party rooms adjoin to the playground and are available to rent. PCC reserves early Sunday mornings for private playground rentals like birthday parties.
