One Heartland is a sleep-away camp in Willow River (one and a half hours north of the Twin Cities) designed for children “facing social isolation, intolerance or serious health challenges”. Created in 1993, the camp program strives to be a a welcoming, bully-free environment while teaching  hands-on learning and life-skills in a summer camp setting. Mission Improve the lives of children, youth and families facing significant health challenges or social isolation. Vision A world where everyone feels appreciated, celebrated and free of stigma and discrimination. We want a community where individuals have the opportunity to learn and grow so that they may lead healthier and more productive lives. Annual summer camps include a camp for For youth living with or affected by HIV/AIDS, camp for children experiencing housing instability, camps for LGTBQ+ young people, leadership camp and a family camp. They also offer a camp in California – Camp Hollywood HEART.
