Langford Park Recreation Center is a neighborhood rec center that offers families family events, open gym, tot times, and rental space for birthday parties. It is the home of St. Paul’s 4th in the Park celebration each July. Outdoors, the park offers a good playground with equipment for tots and older kids, sports fields and a skating rink with a warming room in winter. Street parking is available, but event parking can be an issue.

Langford Community Center

The Rec Center offers a pleasant indoor space with meeting rooms and restrooms, educational programs, open gym and tot times, space to rent for private events, like birthday parties. It also offers programs when school is out and summer meals for children.

Open Gym & Tot Times in the Recreation Center

Families can find open gym times, tot times and family events at this facility. As always with scheduled drop-in times, its wise to call ahead. Times are subject to change without notice and do change seasonally. Scroll to the bottom for a link to the current hours.

Birthday Parties at Langford Recreation Center

St. Paul Recreational Centers have rooms available for rent. Rooms at this facility include, a medium-sized gym, a kitchen and a meeting room.

Free Summer Meals at Langford

Saint Paul Parks provide free summer meals at recreation centers for youth 18 years of age and under. This site has participated. For more information, you can call 651-292-6508. Learn more about Free Summer Meals for Minnesota Kids.

Rec Check Program

Rec Check is a free program for grade school kids. The program has been offered at Langford when school is out of session, including summer break, winter break & spring break. Activities include crafts, art, tennis, cooking, swimming, gym games, water fun, outdoor nature activities, outdoor play, fitness, kitchen science and more. This program requires registration.

Independence Day at Langford Park

Langford Park is home of St. Paul’s 4th in the Park celebration, which includes an old-fashioned parade, bandstand entertainment and picnics in the park. Participants can enjoy music, free games and tournaments. Bring a picnic and/or visit the food tent.

Langford Park Ice Skating, Hockey and Warming House

In the winter, Langford Park Ice Rink and warming house is free for public use when once it freezes over – usually mid-December through mid-February. The open rink is reserved for pleasure skating, while the boarded rinks can be used for hockey. There are a variety of sizes of skates available to borrow.
