Izzy's Ice Cream recently closed its Saint Paul location but still has a physical location in Minneapolis. They also ship nationwide and can be purchased for pick up or delivery through Pizza Luce. You can also purchase the ice cream at most local grocery stores now. Gianna ranks them as one of the best ice cream shops in the Twin Cities. You can read more about her tour of ice cream shops and what she did and didn't like about each shop here.
While it was nice to have the St. Paul location a couple doors down from Choo Choo Bob's Train Store, the remaining Minneapolis location is near the Stone Arch Bridge, making it a perfect stop for a cold snack after a hot walk.
No Birthday Parties Currently Offered at Izzy's Ice Cream
With the closing of the St. Paul location, Izzy's is not currently offering birthday parties. For a DIY birthday party, the ice cream still makes a great addition to cake. Pick up several flavors along with toppings at your favorite grocery store to make it a Build-Your-Own Sundaes birthday party.
Giving Back with Izzy's Ice Cream
Izzy's is owned by Minnesota natives, Lara Hammel and Jeff Sommers. Each February, Izzy's chooses 13 or more local non-profits to donate money to every day for the 13 days leading up to Valentines Day (February 14th). Watch their Facebook page each February to find out who the partners will be.
