Hamline Midway Library Closed May 28, 2023 during the the process of building a new library. Look for a new library in 2024. Hamline Midway Library is a branch of the St. Paul Public Library. It is located within walking distance of Hamline Park. The branches current amenities include computers and free wi-fi and a “Lucky Day Collection” This is one of several branches of the St. Paul Library that has a “Lucky Day” shelf that keeps a certain amount of popular and brand new titles of books and DVDs that patrons can just grab and go – no waiting list. After 30 years, St. Paul Public Library plans to update and renovate the Hamline Midway branch. These updates will include technology updates and the addition of a play and learn space. In early 2022, they have chosen and architect and are looking for community input. The goal of the next round of library updates is to create “spaces that are safe, inviting, affirming, and comfortable for people of all cultures, abilities, and communities”Related Articles:
