Located within Patrick Eagan Park, the Eagan Art House offers classes, special events, and exhibits to the public. It’s mission is to encourage people of all ages to live creatively through visual arts education, exhibitions and community engagement. Don’t look for a large modern gallery, the Eagan Art House is a small 1950s rambler. While we often recommend local art galleries over large city museums for starting out kids in their art-appreciation journey, this may actually be the ideal way to slip in some small, but frequent art viewing with small children. Combine each visit with a trip to the park. Annual events include the Eagan Art Festival in June, Harvest of Art in September, and the Winter Art Sale in November. Get the most up-to-date event information on the art house’s Facebook page. The Art House offers parties for kids ages 5 & up. Parties start at $145 for up to 12 children and includes 90 minutes of artist led activity and 30 minutes for your own celebration. Families can bring store-purchased treats. Art supplies are included in the price of the party. Parties can be scheduled by calling (651) 675-5504.
