Courageous heARTS is a non-profit art studio with a mission to help young people create their own experiences in expressive arts, community building and leadership development in a safe and empowering space. The studio offers open studio times, classes, workshops and camps.
Saturdays at courageous heARTS Studio
On Saturday mornings between 9 am and noon, the studio is open to people of all-ages for drop-in, self-directed art. Families can stay for as much or as little of that time as the want. Coffee and snacks will be provided. Children under age 10 must be accompanied by a caregiver.
The cost of open studio is $15 per family. There are also prices for older children or adults attending alone and reduced price options for multi-visits or those eligible for scholarships. See the website for more information.
Second Saturday Workshops
For those who would like some direction, workshops are offered on the second Saturday of each month. Each month, the studio will partner with local artists to offer multi-generational workshops in a range of mediums, including painting, sculpture, writing,and acting.
