Como Town Amusement Park is a permanent (seasonal) amusement park abutting the Como Zoo & Conservatory. Rides range from the classic tilt-a-whirl carnival ride to the Tiger Trax roller coaster and the Como Town Swing, with plenty of rides for younger kids, as well. *Listing images shows two small children on the Frog Hopper ride. While Como Zoo is open daily, Como Town has is only open Wednesday through Sunday from 11am to 6pm during the summer season. It is a good idea to call ahead when a closure could result in disappointment because the park reserves the right to close without prior notice and hours can be dependent on weather and other circumstances. While unlimited rides can be expensive for a family on a budget, single rides can be an affordable treat, and sometimes less is more in these circumstances. Another good family deal is Hodge Podge Park (see details below). 2023 prices and point passes are as follows:
Hodge Podge Park is a jungle gym park inside of Como Town. Entry costs 10 points ($5.00) for a day pass and includes Como Town’s amped up version of a splash pad, Splash Zone. Bring swimsuits and towels for this attraction. Parents and chaperones (aged 14 and up) are free. We’re told this has been closed all of 2023. In 2017, the park introduced a free, bubbly attraction: kids (and their adults) can enjoy a foam party any day. The foam party is described as “a bubble bath without the water”. Visitors of all ages are invited to stop by and enjoy playing in the bubbly non-toxic foam. Foam parties are held each afternoon at 12:30, 2:30, and 4:30pm. Como Regional Park is one of the best places in Saint Paul to spend a family day of fun. Combine your visit to the amusement park with these other fun attractions: Party packages at Como Town are priced per child with an 8-guest minimum. Free adult wristband for every child in the group. Both packages include unlimited rides, ice cream, invitations, a souvenir cup, and use of a decorated tent. The higher price also includes pizza or hot dogs. Minimum of 8 guests per party. FFTC’s Ultimate Guide to Birthday Parties in the Twin Cities You can definitely find discounts for Como Town.
