Cedar Avenue Field Park is a small park in East Phillips neighborhood of Minneapolis. Family friendly amenities include a small playground and space for picnicking with a grill and drinking fountain. There is also a half-court basketball court.
Cedar Avenue Field Park Playground
The sand of the playground was recently replaced with a resilient poured-in-place rubber surface. The current play structure is standard playground equipment made with plastic and steel, but is due to be updated when funding becomes available.
Renovations at Cedar Avenue Field Park
Besides the new surfacing of the playground, the parks department has moved and replaced the picnic area (grill and picnic tables) to the east side of the park, near Cedar Avenue.
More improvements will be made as funding becomes available, including updating the existing play structure, updating sports courts and fields, adding an interactive water play area, building a skate park and creating gathering spaces - outdoor and sheltered. Stay tuned.
