Apple Valley Family Aquatic Center is a large water park complex in the City of Apple Valley with a big outdoor pool and a “sprayground” play features. The facility has a capacity of 1600 and is open during the summer months. Amenities include a diving board, a lazy river, a dedicated tot area, and water slides for bigger kids. The pool is open every day of the summer except during bad weather and lifeguards are on duty during open hours. Water Walking classes are offered for teens and adults. The 2023 season runs from June 8 through August 25th. Weather permitting, Apple Valley pool hours will be 11am to 6pm daily. Admission has gone up again in 2023. It is now $13/pp. There is no twilight special again this year. Punch cards are available with discounts for residents. Parents should know that kids must be 42 inches tall to use the body slides and 48 inches tall to use the tube slides. Children under 5 and children who can’t swim must be within arm’s reach of an adult when in the water and all kids 12 years of age or under require someone 16 or older to accompany them. Floaties and float toys are not allowed (except coast-guard approved life jackets). Smaller kids will enjoy the splash pad feature. There are concessions on site where visitors can purchases snacks. It has a shaded picnic area, and families can bring a picnic with their own food in a cooler to fuel their day of water recreation. However, no glass items are allowed and you may want to bring a blanket or your own beach chairs. For kids who are partial to parties with waterslides, the aquatic center can be a fun place to celebrate a summer birthday. Cabanas and picnic tables are available to be reserved.
