AKASPORT (“Active Kids Association of Sport”) is a 501c3 Nonprofit Organization that provides sport based summer camps and school year sports and fitness programs to active kids! The AKAsport’s mission is to provide children with an all-inclusive sports camp that offers a variety of sports, fitness and educational activities to keep them socially, mentally, and physically active.

AKA All Sports Summer Camps

The AKA All Sports Summer programs features a new sport and field trip every week during the summer so kids can try new things, work with coaches on age-appropriate skills and meet new people. Participants can register for a full summer package of 10-12 weeks or choose any number of individual camp weeks to try something new or enjoy their favorite sports programs!

Ages and Locations of Camps

The All Sports Camp is open to kids entering Grades K-6 and has locations in Blaine, Circle Pines, Hopkins and Ramsey.AKASport Small Group Huddle

Within the All Sports Camp program is a program for middle school kids called Speed of Play, open to kids entering Grades 7-9. AKA recognizes that this age group is often overlooked and is in need of programs where they can interact with their peers and build leadership skills and positive habits.

Through the Speed of Play program kids will be given opportunities to lead groups of younger kids, work closely with staff, volunteer and go on additional field trips. We allow these kids plenty of time to interact socially with their peers as this is an important part of building confidence! Speed of Play is offered at all of our All Sports Camp locations.

During the school year AKA provides after school programs at many elementary and middle schools to bring active fun to kids in communities around the Twin Cities. Other programs include school release day programs to keep kids active when they are out of school and community events that allow parents to spend time being active with their kids.

AKASPORT works to find the best way to support the needs of the community.

This past year AKA launched a program called AKA School Time to support kids during virtual and hybrid learning. Beginning fall 2021, AKA will launch a Before School Program called AKA SPARK that will focus on getting kids active before school so they can better focus in the classroom. This program will operate out of the National Sports Center in Blaine and bus kids to certain schools in nearby districts.
