Hall Park is part of the Near North neighborhood, divided into two sections and connected by a pedestrian bridge. It features a tot lot playground, walking paths, grills and a basketball court. In October of 2023, MPRB completed updates that included a new and expanded playground (with pollinator-friendly borders), new paths and lighting, and added picnic tables, benches and a grill. They also installed a bike skills course that incorporates a bike-able sculpture. Sidewalk murals created by local students guide visitors through the park. Because this park is across the street from Elizabeth Hall School and Franklin Middle School, its wading pool opens after school releases in early June and closes before school resumes in late August. There are no lifeguards on duty at Minneapolis wading pools. Summer pool hours are 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. MPRB plans to install a shade structure in time for the summer 2024 season.
