While there are any number of greenhouses and garden centers in the Twin Cities, Bachman’s Garden Center is the hometown favorite. Whatever your family’s gardening interest, Bachman’s will have it in their catalog and offer advice for growing it — Fairy Gardens, Bonsai, flowers, vegetables. you can find it in their catalog. There are seven garden centers in the Twin Cities plus a downtown location and several Lunds & Byerly’s locations.

Bachman’s Annual Galleria Floral Experience

Bachman’s gardeners work through the nights to install displays in the week leading up to the annual Floral Experience, which fills the common areas, windows and in-store displays of the Galleria Shopping Center. Landscape architect Bryan Kramer dreamed up the vision and design for the 20-plus unique Floral Experience gardens, featuring more than 100 species of trees, shrubs, plants, flowers and bulbs. Perfect for families, visitors can discover floral magic after a long winter as they meander through the mall. The event is free and open to the public for self-guided tours any time the shopping center is open.

“Once people visit, they’ll want to return again with family members or friends to show them the secret surprises they’ve discovered.”
