An “A-peeling” Weekend in Pictures

Our third consecutive gorgeous September weekend finds Family Fun Twin Cities back pounding the apple orchard trail. Gianna discovered the lovely Applewood Orchard south of the Metro (22702 Hamburg Ave., Lakeville). This little haven is one of the few places to pick-your-own apples in Dakota County.

My family ventured out west to Apple Jack Orchards (4875 37th St. SE, Delano) and it turned out to be of little consequence that we couldn’t pick our own today. There is so much else for kids to do at the orchard they might not have noticed they couldn’t get their hands on the apples!

Joy didn’t visit an orchard this weekend, but there was apparently no shortage of apples in Busytown the Musical, which her family was lucky enough to see on its first Friday at the Children’s Theatre Company. Look for her take soon on the adaptation of Richard Scarry’s classic children’s book What Do People Do All Day?
