The Eden Prairie Community Center is a fitness center with a pool and play center. Families may also enjoy the three ice rinks and the convenience of a newly added family locker room. Meeting room facilities can be rented for birthday parties and other private parties, meetings and gatherings. The center offers Open Gym, Open Skate and Open Swim times, however, times vary and its best to find monthly schedules on the community center website. 2023 Prices: The Aquatics Center at the Community Center has two 8-lane pools, a climbing wall, a zero-depth recreational pool, spa and water slide. It offers both tot time open swims and family open swims. In June of 2019, the aquatics facility was dedicated as the Nancy Tyra-Lukens Aquatics Center. Ms. Tyra-Lukens was an Eden Prairie City Council member and Mayor. During her time serving as mayor she advocated for parks, programs and recreation facilities, including the aquatics center. The Eden Prairie Community Center hosts birthday parties. Families can choose between, pool parties, skating parties, Zumba parties and play zone parties. In 2022, the center added a pergola for shaded seating. Families could bring a picnic and enjoy outdoor seating during warmer months.
