See The Film Trailers for the MSPIFF Childish FilmsThe line up has been announced for The 2016 Minneapolis St. Paul International Film Festival. I’ve been busy exploring the films coming out and finding the film trailers to share. I’ve also been reviewing films from past years. Several of them are now available either from Netflix or Hennepin County Library. If you are on the fence whether your child is ready for the film festival, you could view some of the past films together at home and see how they enjoy them. I’ll have some lists coming up in the next few days.

Another new family-friendly feature is the Youth Juries. If your child is between the ages 11-14, they can apply to judge the six international feature films in the Childish Films series. I’ve included the film trailers for all six below.  If you have older teens, between ages 15-18, they can apply to judge Youth Films made by their peers from the Twin Cities and around the world. Deadline to apply is this coming Wednesday, March 16th. More info and application at MSPFF Youth Juries.

Here are the trailers for the films that are included in the Childish Films series. Note none of these films are in English this year, since whispering subtitles through an entire film gets tiring, you may want to consider these outings for competent readers. You can find the films and buy tickets HERE.

Joy Peters - co-creator and writer for FamilyFunTwinCities.com.

Besides Family Fun Twin Cities, I spend my 9 to 5 at a day job pursuing my weird passion for calendars and organizing things as a legal secretary. When I get home I spend my time with my four kids, 10, 6, 4 and 1. My amazing husband is both a full-time musician and full-time stay-at-home dad. Together we run a small radio empire — SiaNet Radio — playing, promoting and enjoying the wide variety of local music and art in the Twin Cities. I juggle all this while writing about exploring the Twin Cities with kids. I couldn’t be happier.
