Play in all seasons at Centennial Lakes Park

7499 France Ave S, Edina, MN 55435
Centennial Lakes Park is arguably the brightest gem of Edina’s park system encompassing 24 green acres of family fun. It features nearly 1.5 miles of paved pathways that circle lovely canals and ponds, picnic space, a labyrinth, and swinging benches. May to September, kids and families can enjoy plenty of fun outdoor activities in the park including 18 holes of golf in miniature surrounded by sand traps, ponds, boulders and planter beds. There are also lawn games and paddleboats to rent, a farmers market and live entertainment Monday through Thursday during the summer months (including kids entertainment and family-friendly outdoor movies). Our kids adore trying to spot the tiny watercraft that make up the EDINA MODEL YACHT CLUB in the Centennial Lakes Park ponds.

We also love winter at Centennial Lakes Park because the ponds and canals freeze over, creating the most idyllic place to ice skate in Edina. Bring your own skates to skate FREE or rent a pair at the cozy warm Hughes Pavilion. There is plenty of free parking near the pavilion so little legs won’t have far to walk.

Three parks in one near the Edina Mill

Edina’s roots took hold as a farming and milling community powered by Minnehaha Creek, which jogs through the northeast corner of the city. To pay a nod to this past you can visit a triumvirate of parks that merge to nestle the historic EDINA MILLS SITE. Kids might get excited about the rush of the water over the dam. At the intersection of West 50th Street & Browndale Avenue you’ll find the mill ruins (officially located within WILLIAMS PARK), then cross the bridge to explore the winding creek in UTLEY PARK and a playground across the street in WOODDALE PARK.
