My Wish List? I have three picks this week. The great thing about these three picks is that they are truly family-oriented activities. Dad will have as much fun as the two-year-old playing golf in the skyway; I would enjoy taking things apart at the Tech Fest as much as my boys would enjoy messy experiments; and the Family Variety Show has a little bit of something for everyone — not to mention that its at the Minnesota History Center and, as Gianna told us last week in her review, it is a great hands-on museum for families.
Skyway Open – Family Play DaySaturday, February 22nd, 2014; 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Golfer check-in is located on the 1st floor of City Center at 30 S 7th St, Minneapolis Family Weekend Golf Package Online Ticket: Round of golf for up to 2 adults and 2 children: $35 Walk-up: Round of golf for up to 2 adults and 2 children: $40
You can read my preview of the Skyway Open HERE. Hopefully some of the parking issues that the City of Minneapolis has been facing due to the weather will be relieved by a couple of days of melting. Maybe? Otherwise, we’ve had pretty good prices parking at Macy’s lately and there are always buses and trains running into downtown.
This celebration of National Engineers Week is The Works’ BIG event of the year. It is also the Twin Cities’ biggest family engineering event, which sounds kind of limited, but we live in a very pro-science and engineering community. We have the Works, the Science Museum and Bakken and lots of little Lego robot clubs and events.
The museum suggests that you “Skip the lines!” and Preregister today to gain faster access. All preregistered guests will be entered in a drawing to win one of 10 special prizes to celebrate our 10th Annual Tech Fest. Prizes include a family membership, Museum passes, educational items from our Museum store, and more!
