Best wishes in the New Year from Family Fun Twin Cities. Here’s what’s going on in the Twin Cities for New Years Eve 2016!

*FREE NEW YEARS EVE EVENTS – Saturday, December 31, 2016*

New Years EveNew Year’s Eve: Moonlight Circus | Mall of America
Time/Details: Moonlight Big Top, Rotunda • 7pm & 9pm. Live Entertainment by Xelias Aerial Arts Studio including contortion, juggling, unicycle and more. A Family Countdown to the new year will take place at the south entrance to Nickelodeon Universe at 10pm & midnight.

Noon Year’s Party | Como Zoo & Conservatory Visitor Center, St Paul
Time: 10am – 1pm
Details: Come for games, dancing and music from the DJs of the Kidsdance. There will be noise-maker making, special animal enrichment, zoo keeper talks, giveaways, and a countdown to noon when hundreds of beach balls will be dropped from the ceiling.

New Year’s Eve Snowshoeing | North Mississippi Regional Park, Minneapolis
Time: 11am – 3pm

New Year’s Eve Day Nature Chill-Out | Maplewood Nature Center
Time: 1-3pm
Cost: $5/pp, register & pre-pay by Dec 30
Details: Activities for the whole family! Indoor options include nature coloring pages, sipping hot-cocoa, and a funny scavenger hunt in our indoor exhibits. Outdoor options include a self-guiding trail hike set up especially for the day to search for our local yeti.

New Year’s Eve Celebration | Silverwood Park, St Anthony
Time: 5:30 – 7pm
Cost: $5/pp, discounted 20% for groups of 4+
Details: Spend NYE creating a festive hat, visiting the photo booth with family, and roasting marshmallows. Reservations required.

Family New Year’s Eve Party | Shoreview Community Center
Time: 5:30 – 8pm
Cost: In advance – $10/pp ages 1-17, $8/pp 18+, $12 at the door.
Details: Admission includes access to the Tropical Adventure Indoor Playground and Tropics Indoor Waterpark, carnival games, face painting and crafts. A balloon drop will take place at 7:45pm. Food is available for purchase.

Candlelight & Ice: New Year’s Eve at Wood Lake | Wood Lake Nature Center, Richfield
Time: 6 – 9pm
Cost: $5/pp, no pre-registration required
Details: Celebrate the New Year at Wood Lake. Follow a candlelit trail a walking trail through the trees, roast marshmallows over a fire and warm up inside with hot cocoa. Crafts, games and more.

New Year’s Eve on Ice | Roseville Skating Center
Time: 2:30 – 10pm
Cost: $7 admission or admission plus skate rental for $10/pp
Details: Skate indoors and out on the OVAL plus a magic show, inflatable bouncer, face painting and a countdown at 9:30pm with favors.

New Year’s Eve in the Wild | Lebanon Hills Regional Park, Eagan
Time: 5-8pm $10/pp at the door. Ages 5 & under are free.
Cost: $10/pp at the door only. Ages 5 & under are free.
Details: Enjoy candlelight hiking, snowshoeing, ice skating and sledding (bring your own equipment), bonfires, live animals, storytelling, magic shows, and a ball drop at the Visitor Center.

New Year’s Eve Party | Edinborough Park, Edina
Time: 5 – 8pm, countdown at 7pm
Cost: $10.50 plus tax per pre-registered child, $11.50/day of, adults free
Details: Ring in the New Year with a Kidsdance DJ, face painting, hats, a photo booth and admission to Adventure Peak.

Family New Year’s Eve Party | Bielenberg Sports Center, Woodbury
Time: 6 – 9pm
Cost: $8/pp pre-registered or $10 at the door if available, under 3 admitted free
Details: Recommended for families with children under come celebrate with games, moonwalks, obstacle courses, ice skating, music and more. Door prize drawing will be held at 8:30 p.m. followed by the big countdown to 2017.

New Year’s Eve Party at Afton Alps | Hastings
Time: Events run 9:30pm – midnight
Cost: NYE festivities are free, fees apply for skiing, snowboarding, and rentals. See the link here for rates.
Details: Skiing & snowboard from 9am – midnight, enjoy live music starting at 8:30pm and fireworks.
