Are you looking for a way to celebrate Thanksgiving weekend as a family? Maybe something that doesn’t involve battling crowds to get a new TV? Here’s my suggestions.
I’m going to stay home on Thanksgiving, make a turkey and watch football. However, if you do want to get out a bit on Thanksgiving day, Como Zoo is open 365 days a year. Winter hours are 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Free Family Fun Day – Turkey Times Two. Free Family Fun Days at Carl Kroening Interpretive Center are usually on Sundays, but this week they will be offering a bonus program on Friday. Drop in anytime between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. to learn about wild turkeys.
Pie & Wine Potluck Soiree at Franconia Sculpture Park. I shared the invite for this potluck yesterday. You can find it here. This does require a little pre-planning as an RSVP is required. But what a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon – eating warm Turkey soup and sharing a slice of pie and a glass of wine or cider. Then play on the playground sculptures and take a walk through the field.
St. Paul Public Library invites you to explore the richness of Eastern European music with a vibrant performance and a demonstration of their unique musical instruments. Sunday’s performance will be held at St. Paul Central Library, 90 W 4th Street from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
