Stay Tuned for 2020 Information

The Sunrise River Farm season starts with the ripening of the first apples in late August or early September and continues through the end of October. Families are invited to visit for pick-your-own apples Thursday – Sunday. On select weekends and during special events the orchard offers enjoy hayrides through the orchard, barrell train rides, a large petting farm and a playground. Shop their market for fresh, locally-made salsas, jams, sauces, baked goods, decor and pre-picked apples. Find information about pick-your-own and pre-picked apple options here.

We love this farm for its smaller size and family-run feel. There is no admission fee charged and you get the vibe you’re welcome to stay as long as you like on one of the porch rockers.

Sunrise River petting farm

A favorite feature of this orchard is the petting zoo with its wide variety of animals, which have included over the seasons: calves, cats, chickens, donkeys, dogs, horses, mini-donkeys, mini-pigs, rabbits & turkeys.

The farm playground

After picking apples and petting farm animals, let the kids run out their energy on the playground. It includes a fort and swings with a pea gravel floor.

Hayrides & train rides

Enjoy a traditional hayride on select weekends and during festivals. Enjoy the scenic farm while riding on a hay bale to the apple orchard. Hayrides last about 25 minutes and include a little picking information. Pick up and drop off is at the store concessions stand. Younger kids will love the barrel train ride!

Birthday Parties at Sunrise Farm

The farm hosts birthday parties and other private events. Party packages include a private picnic of hot dogs, chips and soda, farm games and a treat bag for each guest. You can hire a farmhand to help with the party. Learn more and get a quote here.
