On Hiatus for the 2023 Season

While normally, visitors can participate in a variety of fun activities for the whole family at Minneapolis Holidazzle in downtown Minneapolis this year, in 2023, the event is on hiatus.

Why is Holidazzle Cancelled?

The Holidazzle website doesn’t expand on the reasons for the hiatus, but does offer a opportunity for community members to share their favorite memories of Holidazzle.

Let’s dream together and start a conversation. What do you think Holidazzle should look like in 2024 and beyond?

My personal opinion is that Holidazzle NEEDS to be back on Nicollet Avenue now that the work is complete. In addition, maybe they could:

  • Bring back the parade!!
  • Line the skyway with colorful vendors for gift shopping;
  • Bring in food trucks;
  • Offer ice skating somewhere as cool and convenient as the old Depot Ice Rink;
  • How about music at Peavey Plaza? Maybe offer sneak peaks of the shows coming to Hennepin Theatres and the Guthrie Theater;
  • and FREE holiday movies at the library or some other warm and welcoming venue?

Leave a comment with your best ideas!

What to Do Instead of Holidazzle in 2023

While, Holidazzle offered a lot of great Holiday fun in one place, the Twin Cities doesn’t lack for activities in November and December. Here is where to replace our favorite Holidazzle activities.

2023 Holidazzle Cancelled

Holidazzle usually begins the day after Thanksgiving. It has been running Friday through Sundays through mid-December in the last few years. There is no Holidazzle in 2023..
