Cedar Lake Farm Park Beach and Playground

The beach at this park is free, but unguarded. It opens Memorial Day weekend and closes after Labor Day. Open beach hours during the season are from 9:00 a.m. until sunset. Find more beaches. The play structure is located near the beach. Check ahead for closures on the Three Rivers Play Areas page.

Family Archery Programs

Families are invited to participate in programs that teach the basics of shooting safely and accurately with skilled instructors. You will learn to shoot at stationary targets, while testing your skills in fun games. The nice thing about this program, is that it is open to all levels, including beginners, and all the equipment provided. The downside of this program is that pre-registration is required. We add these dates to our Family Sports Calendar.

For more archery fun, we’ve compiled a list of Twin Cities archery ranges here.

Bringing the Family Dog to Cedar Lake Farm Park

The park has recently added a 0.8-mile dog trail, which means we can now bring along our dogs on visits. They are allowed on all paved trails, except where posted otherwise, but they are still not permitted in picnic or beach areas, which means visits including the family dog are best planned separately from other activities.
As always, owners must pick-up after their dogs. Dogs must be on a leash that is 6′ or shorter and non-retractable.
