Located 45 minutes southwest of the Twin Cities, Barten Pumpkins started in 1983 and has continued to grow over the years. It now offers more than 45 varieties of pumpkins, squash, and gourds. The also specialize in pre-made displays using broom corn, corn shocks, straw bales, pumpkins and other fall produce. Check out their products here. Each year, the farm hosts Family Fun Saturdays on the first two Saturdays in October from 10am to 2pm. Activities vary, but have included free pictures by a caricature artist, free pony rides, free hay rides (weather permitting) stilts, pumpkin bowling, and music from an old fashioned mechanical organ with a bubble machine.
