5 Reasons to Be a Blooma Family

blooma-logoWe were super excited when Blooma invited Family Fun Twin Cities to try a yoga class, specifically a prenatal yoga class.  Don’t get any ideas.  Nobody on the FFTC team is pregnant, but yoga is fun. You don’t have to be pregnant to enjoy it.  So I found a time on my calendar and made my way over to the new Plymouth location they share with yogamn.

10 Twin Cities Beaches & Playgrounds to Try This Summer

tm big marine beach

Tired of heading out to the same old swimming spot? We’ve combed the Metro in search of new places to try with our own families and came up with ten we think are worth checking out for their beaches, playground, and other recreational opps nearby:

Lake Johanna Beach in Tony Schmidt Regional Park
3500 Lake Johanna Blvd, Arden Hills, 55112

Open: Daily during regular park hours – half-hour before sunrise to half-hour before sunset
Cost: Free
Highlights: We love this beach for its clean, soft sand and playground so close to the shoreline that I have no problem letting my older children play while I keep an eye on the younger ones in the water. That is, if you can grab a spot of sand near the equipment; this is a pretty popular beach with families. There is space to picnic nearby in the large pavilion. Read More
