BookHounds Invites: David LaRochelle, Celebrating Parents, Kids and Books

BookHounds invited David LaRochelle, author of Monster & Son, to our “studio” for an interview. Monster & Son was released on April 12, 2016 and we love it.

We were so excited to have him read his book (with permission from Chronicle Books) and talk what it’s like to be an author.  We also chatted about great books!  His newest book was just released in December 2018 , The Isle of You.

What were some of the most exciting authorial moments?
(I’m pretty sure I just made that word up)

What is it like to be an author?

What have you done as an illustrator?

How would you encourage kids (or really anyone) to pursue and continue in their creativity?
